M25 Dartford Crossing live traffic: Updates as QE2 Bridge closed due to police incident

The M25 has been plunged into chaos after a ‘police incident’ closed the clockwise side of the QE2 Bridge at the Dartford Crossing this afternoon (September 14).

There are currently delays stretching from junction 31 A1306 to junction 1A A206 with many cars stranded.

MyLondon has approached Essex Police for more information on the incident.

There are already long delays on the motorway with traffic likely to be affected for some time.

A diversion has been put in place through one of the Dartford tunnels.

The exact nature of the incident has yet to be confirmed however Essex Police and East of England Ambulance Service have been approached for comment.

Essex Roads Policing tweeted: “Police on scene but traffic building and likely to be some time, pls avoid the area and RT to others.
