London Underground live: Severe delays on Circle and District lines after woman injured at Cannon Street

There are currently severe Tube delays on the Circle and District lines after a woman was injured at Cannon Street station this morning.

Transport for London has shared an update to say a casualty on the tracks means some London Underground services are either not running at all or running with severe disruption.

The British Transport Police were called at 6.43am on Monday (September 13) to a casualty on the tracks. The London Ambulance Service were also called out, and they sent an ambulance crew, a medic in a car, and an incident response officer.

London’s Air Ambulance and hazardous area response team were also sent out.

There is no service in the anticlockwise direction on the Circle Line and severe delays travelling clockwise while emergency services deal with the incident. There’s currently no service between Aldgate and Edgware Road via Victoria.

There is no service on the District Line between Embankment and Whitechapel and severe delays on the rest of the line.

There’s also no service on the Hammersmith and City line between Liverpool Street and Barking, with minor delays on the rest of the line.

Tickets are being accepted on London Buses, South Western Railway and c2c.
