Newham stabbing: Murder investigation launched after man in 30s stabbed to death

A murder investigation has been launched after a man “in his early 30s” was stabbed to death inside a property in East London.

Police were called by London Ambulance Service paramedics to reports of a man having suffered stab wounds inside a residential address in Ringlet Close, Newham, at around 3.40am on Friday (September 10).

Despite the best efforts of emergency services, he was pronounced dead at the scene.

His next of kin have been informed, though formal identification has not yet taken place.

A 43-year-old woman was arrested on suspicion of murder at the scene. She was taken to an East London police station, where she remains in custody at this time.

Detectives from the Metropolitan Police Specialist Crime Command are investigating the incident and enquiries continue to establish how the man came by his injuries.
