Police release CCTV after woman dragged off train and robbed in South East London

Police have released CCTV images of a man and a woman they want to speak to after a woman was pulled off a train and robbed at Crofton Park railway station in South East London.

The robbery happened just after 6:30pm on Friday, June 4, as the train arrived at the station.

The woman was seen standing near the carriage doors inside the train before the incident. A man and woman got on and stood close to her at Lewisham, South East London.

The man then tried to grab the victim’s phone before pulling her from the carriage onto the platform.

Police want to speak with a woman and a man in connection with the incident

He then snatched the victim’s phone while the woman held her so he could get away.

The pair then ran out of the station but they were chased by passersby who managed to recover the victim’s phone.

Officers believe the people in the images may have information which could help their investigation.
