A 19-year-old man was stabbed this evening in West London, sparking police to be granted stop and search powers “to prevent further escalations of serious violence.”
Police were called by the London Ambulance Service at 5.46pm on Wednesday September 8 to reports of a man stabbed on Bourne Terrace in Paddington.
A 19-year-old was rushed to hospital for treatment, but his injuries are not believed to be life-threatening, according to police.

A crime scene remains in place.
No arrests have been made as yet and enquiries continue.

Inspector Brown of Westminster Police authorised a Section 60 from 7.30pm on September 8 until 7.30am on September 9 “to prevent further escalations of serious violence.”
The area covered includes Paddington, Maida Hill, Westbourne Green, and West Kilburn.
