London property: £500K 4-bed house for sale in Barking unlike anything seen before that’s being mocked for its Tudor style

A good house is hard to find in London, let alone a unique one.

However, a four-bedroom gem has been uncovered in Barking, East London, and it’s unlike anything we’ve ever seen before.

The polarising listing on the property site Zoopla has attracted a lot of interest but not necessarily for the right reasons.

The property is on the market for half a million pounds

The £500,000 townhouse has two shower rooms, a guest bathroom, a large reception area, a kitchen and off-street parking.

The freehold property is just a few minutes away from Barking Tube station and has everything a first-time buyer could dream of, but that hasn’t stopped people from taking to social media to lambast the design of the house.

One person said: “Disgraceful to build a row of 1990s terraces next to a Tudor townhouse.”

Another added: “Whoever did this should be arrested!”

Estate agent William H Brown said in its listing: “This four or five-bedroom townhouse boasts a large reception room, large kitchen or diner, shower room and a lean-to which is currently being used as bedroom five.

“To the first floor are two double bedrooms and a water closet.

Buyers have mocked the home’s facade

“To the top floor, you have one double bedroom, one single bedroom and a shower room.”

The property might not be to everyone’s taste, but people don’t normally need to ask permission to decorate their homes, so, if you are interested, it could be changed.

However, we are actually quite fond of the architecture and would love to attend a Tudor themed banquet at the property dressed as our favourite frequently hitched King.
