The Portugal legend signed for the club on deadline day and was representing Portugal during the international break, breaking the all-time record for goals with his brace against the Republic of Ireland on Tuesday.
However after getting booked for his celebration, he is now banned for their next qualifier and manager Fernando Santos has allowed him to leave the squad early instead of playing in the friendly against Qatar.
Ronaldo was greeted at the airport by former teammate and current technical director Darren Fletcher and will now isolate before training with his new United teammates for the first time next week.
Elsewhere, Paul Pogba will be in action for France in their World Cup qualifier against Ukraine later tonight.
