London weather: Highs of 27C on the way but Met Office forecasts exact dates of big September weather shift

London weather can be a tricky thing to plan around, but thankfully the BBC is predicting some sunny weather over the next few days.

Indeed, after a thoroughly miserable August, it seems Londoners can expect some sunny days in the capital, as temperatures are set to sore to over 25C next week.

We checked out the latest forecasts on The Met Office, Accuweather and BBC – and these are the exact days we can expect some sunshine, as well as the day it’s set to all turn sour.

BBC Weather

The heatwave is set to begin on Sunday, September 5, when Londoners can expect highs of 25C.

Temperatures will climb to 27C on Monday (September 6), with “sunny intervals and gentle breeze”. A full day of uninterrupted 26C sun is forecast for Tuesday (September 7).

The BBC predicts the heatwave will dissipate starting on Wednesday (September 8), with temperatures falling to 25C.

By the following Monday (September 13), the BBC says “thundery showers” are set to rock the capital, with rain continuing over the following days. Wake me up when September ends.

The Met Office

The Met Office is predicting highs of 25C across Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday next week.

The description on the site reads simply: “Sunny,” so might be an idea to book a day off to bask in what’s left of summer.

But in the longer term forecast The Met Office has warned stormy weather will “unsettle” the UK between September 14 and 28.

The Met Office has hinted unsettled weather will hit in the UK during the third and fourth weeks of the month.

They warned: “An unsettled spell is most likely for the middle of September, the focus for this toward the northwest of the UK, with the south and southeast perhaps holding on to drier weather.”

Accuweather

Accuweather is slightly more pessimistic when it comes to the weather next week.

Monday and Tuesday are set to feature highs of 24C, with “periods of cloud and sun”.

Unlike the other two outlets, Accuweather predicts the weather will start deteriorating from Wednesday, with “a little afternoon rain” predicted. Ew.
