London crime: Man arrested for crimes including possession of offensive weapon after car hits pedestrian in West London

A man has been arrested after a person was hit by a car in North West London.

Emergency services were called to reports of a collision on Kilburn High Road shortly before 3pm on Tuesday, August 31.

The male victim was rushed to hospital with injuries but thankfully his condition has not been assessed as life threatening.

The man was arrested on at the scene on suspicion of dangerous driving, possession of an offensive weapon and affray.

A crime scene was setup

A spokesperson for the Met Police said: “Police were called to Kilburn High Road at 2.49pm on Tuesday, August 31, to reports of a collision involving a car and a pedestrian.

“Officers attended along with paramedics from London Ambulance Service (LAS).

“A man was found injured. He was treated at the scene before being taken to hospital. His condition has been assessed as non life-threatening.

“A man was arrested at the scene on suspicion of dangerous driving, possession of an offensive weapon and affray.

“He has been taken into custody.”
