Tonkotsu is bringing ramen to Kentish Town | Latest news

Tonkotsu is growing again – one of London’s most popular ramen restaurants will be opening their first North London restaurant since launching nearly 10 years ago

As you’d expect, ramen is at the heart of the menu, made with noodles created in-house daily, using machines imported from Tokyo. On the menu at Kentish Town will be:

  • The signature Tonkotsu ramen, a pork and lardo broth with thin-cut noodles, and topped with roast pork belly, bamboo shoots, bean sprouts, spring onions, burnt garlic oil and a seasoned egg
  • Chilli Chicken Ramen – a chicken and sea salt broth with Tonkotsu’s Eat the Bits Chili Oil
  • Their vegan Mushroom Miso ramen.

Gyoza will be making an appearance, including their classic pork, ginger and garlic as well as crisp fried chicken kara-age, Eat the Bits chilli chicken wings (and a new vegan-friendly cauliflower version of the wings).

On the drinks list will be their own sake alongside a new pale ale made in collaboration with Thornbridge, as well as Japanese whiskey, wines, and cocktails. There will be delivery of course – find them on Deliveroo along with their own click & collect too.
