Peterborough Greater Northern and Thameslink updates as signalling fault causes cancellation of services – recap

A signalling fault at Peterborough meant Greater Northern and Thameslink had to cancel trains on Wednesday (August 25).

Trains between Peterborough and Huntingdon were suspended and routes to London and Hull were also affected.

ThamesLink announced that those who had bought tickets could instead travel on East Midlands Railway, Cross Country UK, or Greater Anglia trains between Peterborough, Ely and Cambridge.

Those travelling from London towards Peterborough needed to use alternative routes.
