Boy, 16, arrested after being rushed to hospital with multiple stab wounds following street fight

A 16-year-old boy has been arrested after being rushed to hospital with multiple stab wounds in South East London.

The teenager was taken to a Central London hospital yesterday (August 17) after he was stabbed in Forest Hill.

The Metropolitan Police confirmed they were called to reports of men fighting on Woolstone Road at around 7.54pm last night.

Officers rushed to the scene where the 16-year-old was found to have been stabbed multiple times.

Officers carried out first aid until paramedics from London Ambulance Service and London’s air ambulance arrived.

A police cordon remained in the area as dusk fell last night

The teenager was taken to hospital, where his condition is described as stable and not life-threatening.

Police confirmed he was later arrested on suspicion of affray and possession of an offensive weapon.

He remains in hospital.

A 20-year-old man was also arrested on suspicion of affray following the fight.

He was taken to hospital for treatment to his injuries, where he remains, and his condition is also non life-threatening.

Police cordoned off the residential street of semi-detached homes while they carried out investigations.
