Transfer gossip: Coventry and Stoke linked with Kane

The latest transfer speculation involving QPR…

Coventry and Stoke are interested in Todd Kane, it is claimed.

West London Sport revealed in May that Kane was being axed by QPR, with the club looking to offload him this summer.

Kane, who has a year remaining on his contract, has since been training with the Under-23s.

Football Insider say Coventry and Stoke are “racing” to sign Kane and “have identified the 27-year-old as a top target”.

Dickie speculation

QPR defender Rob Dickie
Leeds United and Wolves are keen on QPR defender Rob Dickie, it is claimed.

Football Insider, which has previously linked Dickie with Newcastle, claim all three Premier League clubs are looking to sign him before this month’s transfer window closes.

The website say a “recruitment source” has suggested that Dickie is being targeted.

QPR manager Mark Warburton this week dismissed speculation over the futures of Dickie and keeper Seny Dieng.

Warburton told West London Sport: “It’s amazing, as a coach, an owner or a director of football, you read some of these stories about our players being linked with other clubs but the fees listed are nowhere near good enough.

“Rob was a good investment for us. A young centre-half who is getting better and I think he will get better throughout this season.

“No one here is going cheap. I read about a price tag (£6m) on Seny. Ludicrous.

“The fans need not worry. The owners will put the right price on the players.

“Every player in the world has got a value. If anyone leaves QPR it will be on the owners’ terms.

“If they leave it doesn’t matter, because they’ll leave at a price that represents great value for QPR.”
