A 26-year old woman has died after falling from a block of flats in Stratford following the arrest of a man by the Metropolitan Police.
Officers were called to a block of flats on International Way next to Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park yesterday (August 17) shortly after 4.30pm following reports of an offence.
They identified a male suspect and took him into custody.

An hour and 10 minutes later it was reported that a woman had fallen from height.
Police officers carried out first aid while an air ambulance travelled to the scene.

Tragically she died a short time after emergency services arrived.
Watchdogs the Directorate of Professional Standards and the Independent Office for Police Conduct have been informed of the details of the case, according to the Met.
A spokesman said: “A 26-year-old woman has died after a fall from height from a block of flats in International Way, Stratford.
“Police were called to the location shortly after 16.30hrs on Tuesday, 17 August to a report of an offence.
“Officers attended and a man was arrested. He has been taken into custody.

“Shortly before 17.40hrs, it was reported that a woman had fallen from height.
“Officers at the scene helped provide first aid and called London Ambulance Service to the scene.
“Despite the efforts of emergency services, the woman died a short time later.
“Her next of kin have been informed.
“Enquiries into the circumstances are ongoing.
“As is routine in these circumstances, the Met’s Directorate of Professional Standards and the Independent Office for Police Conduct have been informed.”
