M11 traffic: Recap after crash involving ‘several lorries’ near Harlow closes lane for hours

All traffic was held on the M11 after a crash involving several lorries this morning (Wednesday, August 18)

The incident happened at around 10:20am on the M11 southbound between junction 7 A414 Canes Lane (Harlow) and junction 6 (M25 junction 27).

Essex Police confirmed no one was injured in the incident and a recovery operation was completed at 1:53pm.

Traffic cameras showed slow and heavy traffic as one lane had to be closed because of the incident.

The lane re-opened just before 2pm.

The incident continued to affect traffic heading for London and the M25, with Highways England saying approximately two miles of congestion remained in the area.
