The arrests of the pair brought a large police presence, including nearly a dozen police cruisers and tactical officers, to the complex near the intersection of Notre Dame Drive and Viscount Road.

OPP officers could be seen placing a man and a woman, both of them handcuffed, into the back of separate police cruisers.

A London police spokesperson confirmed the force was assisting the OPP with an investigation and referred all questions to the provincial police.

“It’s in relation to a break-and-enter investigation in Middlesex County,” OPP spokesperson Derek Rogers said of the heavy police presence, adding he didn’t have any further information to provide.

One resident in the complex said she was about to leave Monday morning when police descended on the area. “Next thing you know, there’s OPP surrounding everywhere,” the resident said.

A woman who said she lives at the unit where the two suspects were arrested declined comment.
