Arsenal XI vs Brentford: Predicted lineup, confirmed team news, latest injury updates for Premier League game

rsenal are set to be without Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang and Alexandre Lacazette for their opening game of the new Premier League season tonight.

It emerged on Friday afternoon that Aubameyang and Lacazette are not available for the game against Brentford because they are unwell.

England forward Bukayo Saka, who returned to training last week after being on holiday post-Euro 2020, could start out left and Gabriel Martinelli or Folarin Balogun should lead the line.

The pair, who signed for Arsenal in the summer, are both fully fit and in contention to start the top-flight opener in west London.

Fellow new signing Nuno Tavares should also be in the squad, but Kieran Tierney is expected to start ahead of him at left-back.

Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta will have to cope without Eddie Nketiah (ankle), Gabriel (knee) and Thomas Partey (ankle).
