Pressure eases on Derwent London | Business

A London-based office developer has upgraded its rental forecasts and has predicted a “flight to quality” for businesses seeking to attract staff with superior workspace.

Derwent London, known for its quirky office designs and features such as rooftop running tracks, said that the leasing market was improving now that pandemic restrictions had been lifted.

It has invested £215 million in two development opportunities in an area of west London popular with life sciences companies.

Paul Williams, 61, its chief executive, said: “This war for talent is really here. I hear there’s a lot of companies looking for new people. Good businesses are going to need good space to attract that talent.”
