Come Dine With Me is looking for North London residents to appear in the next series

Britons up and down the country have watched Come Dine With Me and have sworn they could cook a three-course meal better than contestants to win the £1,000 cash prize.

However, now North London residents will potentially have the opportunity to star in the hit show and see their cooking skills left at the mercy of show narrator, Dave Lamb.

Come Dine With Me has announced it is searching for cooks in North London to feature in its next series.

For those unaware, the hit show sees four contestants throw dinner parties that are attended and rated by complete strangers.

A call to action from the show’s producers has said it is calling on those who are bored of cooking for their partner, housemates or children and fancy putting their lockdown-improved skills to the test in the wider world.

To be within a shot to be on the show, you have to of course be a keen cook, be over 18-years-old and not working or trained as a professional chef.

For the lucky North London contestants, the £1,000 cash prize is still up for grabs in addition to being on a TV show.

Due to coronavirus, the Come Dine With Me team is using one centralised house to host the dinner parties.
