EastEnders icon Kellie Bright’s life away from Walford including Only Fools spin-off role, net worth and family

Since Mick and Linda Carter took over The Queen Vic it’s hard to imagine anybody else running the East End boozer.

Although the pair have really gone through the drama mill since arriving in EastEnders back in 2013, yes it has really been 8 years!

As the matriarch of her family, Linda has experienced an alcohol addiction, a surprise pregnancy, and a harrowing rape ordeal.

However, she always manages to keep herself together for her husband Mick, played by Danny Dyer, and their four children: Lee, Johnny, Nancy, and youngest son Ollie.

And she’s got another baby on the way thanks to her fling with Max Branning (Jake Wood).

But away from the television screen and her Albert Square character, actress Kellie Bright’s life couldn’t be more further from her Linda Carter alter-ego.

The 45-year-old TV star and her husband Paul Stocker are expecting their third child after welcoming sons Freddie in 2011 and Gene in 2016.

Coinciding with her real-life pregnancy, Kellie’s character Linda is also pregnant in a current storyline on the BBC One Soap.

Kelly married her husband Paul Stocker in Cornwall in 2014 and she once spoke about the couple’s seven-year age gap and their plans to have a family.

Fast forward to 2021 and the happy couple will soon be welcoming their new arrival.

The star gave birth to her first son naturally at 38, but the couple struggled to conceive afterwards so decided to use IVF for their second child.

Following the birth of Gene, Kellie stored three more embryos, two of which ended in failed pregnancies.

The third and final embryo became their third child and is due in August.

Kellie revealed she feared she had also lost this final chance when she had a bleed two days before she was due to take a pregnancy test.

When the test came back positive, she said she was overcome with emotion and ran downstairs to her husband sobbing so hard he couldn’t understand her.

She told OK!: “This baby inside me now was the last one we had – the last chance of a pregnancy, because at 44 we were not going through IVF again.

“I believe it was meant to be. But those three months, between September and November, were a real roller-coaster.”

Rock & Chips!

Away from EastEnders, Kellie has starred in some very popular television shows and movies.

It’s been nearly two decades since Only Fools and Horses wrapped up with the last Christmas special airing in 2003.

In the iconic Only Fools prequel, Rock And Chips, Kellie plays the character of Joan Trotter who is the mum to Del Boy and Rodney Trotter who died when the brothers were young.

The series, broadcast in 2010, told how Joan slept with the crooked but charming Freddie Robdal – played by original Rodney actor Nicholas Lyndhurst – and got pregnant with Rodney.

She had one of her first roles on the television series T-Bag and the Revenge of the T-Set in 1989 and was a finalist in Strictly Come Dancing in its thirteenth series in 2015.

Kellie’s official net worth hasn’t been confirmed, however, FamousBirthday reports her net worth to be around £1 million.
