Police officers rushed to a street in Greenwich this evening (August 6) after a man, 41, assaulted another man and barricaded himself inside an address.
Police dispatched an incident response team to Trafalgar Road, Greenwich shortly after 5.30pm today where they found the suspect hidden away in a property.
Medical teams treated a man with non-life threatening injuries while officers worked to defuse the situation.

Eventually, officers forced entry into the building and arrested the man on suspicion of actual bodily harm.
A spokesman for the Metropolitan Police said: “Police were called at approximately 5.30pm on Friday, 6 August to Trafalgar Road, SE10 to reports of an assault.
“Officers attended the scene and found a man with non-life threatening injuries.
“The suspect had locked himself inside an address on Trafalgar Road. Officers forced entry and a 41-year-old man was detained and arrested on suspicion of actual bodily harm.
“Enquiries are ongoing.”
