Tottenham Hotspur have agreed a fee worth in excess of £60m for Inter Milan striker Lautaro Martinez.
The 23-year-old has previously been linked with a move to Liverpool but is destined for north London, should all formal formalities be successfully completed.
Martinez helped Inter to the Serie A title last season, scoring 17 goals and registering 10 assists on the team’s way to glory.

Inter are currently in the process of offloading their prized assets due to the club’s financial difficulties, having already sold Achraf Hakimi to PSG and agreed a £97.5 deal for Romelu Lukaku to return to former club Chelsea.
Football.London have confirmed that Spurs would play Martinez alongside Harry Kane, with the Lilywhites determined to keep the England captain at the club despite interest from Manchester City.
Should a deal be completed, this would certainly represent a statement of intent from Tottenham and has left Liverpool supporters worried ahead of the new season.

Below are some of the reactions provided by Reds on social media.
@VirgilVanGOAT: “If Spurs get Lautaro Martinez, I will be gutted. Would be the perfect signing for LFC.”
@Stephen_LFC_: “Martinez and Kane at Spurs next season. Sigh”
@Lusiseth: “Lautaro Martinez to Tottenham? Ahh Liverpool.”
@sculls_6: “As a Liverpool fan who thoroughly enjoyed watching Inter last season, Lukaku to Chelsea and Martinez to Tottenham would be so deflating. I still believe our squad is good enough to win the league, but a £50+million attacker wouldn’t go astray too!”
Martinez joined Inter in 2018 from Argentinian outfit Racing Club and has scored 76 goals in 192 appearances since making his move.
