Only Fools and Horses: Here’s how much Del Boy and Rodney Trotter’s flat in Peckham is now worth

Peckham’s finest hooky goods dealer Del Boy Trotter (David Jason) was adored for his dedication to becoming wealthy.

He would constantly make promises to younger brother Rodney (Nicholas Lyndhurst) that ‘this time next year, we’ll be millionaires, a vow that became a bit of a joke.

However, during the Time On Our Hands episode in 1996, the Trotter family found their fortune in form of an antique watch that sold for a whopping £6.2 million.

It was a fairy tale ending for the Trotters as they finally became millionaires and splashed the cash on fancy property, holidays, and cars.

Of course, Del then lost all of his money after investing it in the Central American stock market – which crashed leaving him skint.

Since the beginning of Only Fools and Horses, which was first broadcast in 1981, the Trotter family lived in Peckham in a high-rise council block called Nelson Mandela House.

Their iconic home on the Nyrere Estate, South London, was positioned on the 12th floor and was built in 1960.

Now fast forward to present times and Peckham is fast becoming a business hub and a hot spot for nightlife, making it the perfect location for first-time buyers working in the city.

Plus it has a busy high street, loads of places to eat and drink and a train service that gets you into Central London within 10 minutes.

So, how much Del Boy and Rodney Trotter’s flat in Peckham would be worth today?

According to research conducted last year, which compared TV property values around the UK, the Trotter family’s pad in Peckham, South London, would be worth around £497,000, or £644 per square foot.

If Del Boy and Rodney sold their little Peckham flat, they’d be half-way there to that famous million as the property would now be in the region of £500,000.
