The Chase is one of those rare shows that just strikes the perfect chord – down to earth, informative and entertaining, it’s the ultimate in feel-good British telly.
In yesterday’s episode we saw four contestants, Sean, Edwine, Christine and Denise go head to head with ‘The Governess’ Anne Hegerty to try and win some of that sweet prize cash.
Sadly though, it was only Denise that managed to bring back £7,000 which added to the jackpot.

The rest of her team were eliminated as they were caught out by Anne, failing to get most of the questions right.

Denise braved it in the final chase by doing well in the first round but was caught out even while having a few push backs.
One contestant who had everyone talking was Christine, with all of them tweeting the same thing.
She was asked: “In 2016, which gameshow host launched a phone line giving motivational advice to pet?” with the options being between Noel Edmonds, Dale Winton and Stephen Mulhern.
The 60 year old hopeful went for Dale Winton claiming she’d never heard who Stephen Mulhern is.
But the correct answer was Noel Edmonds.
“Omg #TheChase never heard of Stephen Mulhern? Shocking!” one wrote.

Whilst another person added: “What this lady on the Chase has never heard of Stephen Mulhern! UNBELIEVABLE”
“She’s…never…..Heard…of…..Stephen…..Mulhern?” a third baffled commenter wrote.
It looks like this one comment has more than a few people riled up.
