We are now well into the final month of the transfer window and the Gunners are set for a busy last few weeks in terms of business with Mikel Arteta continuing the rebuild of his squad.
Nuno Tavares, Albert Sambi Lokonga and Ben White have all arrived at the Emirates Stadium so far, but more signings are expected before this summer’s deadline.
One potential new signing is James Maddison, who is open to the idea of a move to north London.
football.london understands that the Gunners have offered four players in a player-plus-cash deal for the Leicester City star, including Reiss Nelson, Ainsley Maitland-Niles, Joe Willock and Eddie Nketiah.
What that means for other midfield targets – for example, Ruben Neves – remains to be seen, but Arsenal are determined to sign a creative option moving forward.
The club are also still looking at moving some players on before the end of the window. Player sales have been slow thus far which is something Edu will have to improve upon quickly if he wants to raise money to help fund further signings.
