TfL London buses: Photo shows Barking-bound bus wrecked after smashing into pole

Photos and video have emerged on social media of a bus completely wrecked after it smashed into a pole.

Images show that the bus, which appeared to be heading in the direction of Barking, had its windscreen completely smashed and the left hand bumper dented and unattached from the front of the vehicle

It appeared to have mounted a curb before coming to a stop onto the pole.

The incident is understood to have happened yesterday (Tuesday, August 3) in Stratford, but as indicated by the callsign on the top of the bus it seemed to be heading towards Barking, historically in the county of Essex.

The video shows the damaged bus mounted on a curb and embedded on the metal pole.
