Boy, 16, fighting for life after stabbing as police called to London park

Police were called to Adams Road in Tottenham shortly after 2.15pm today

A 16-year-old boy is fighting for his life after a stabbing in a busy London park this afternoon.

The teenager was rushed to hospital following the incident, which happened at 2.15pm.

Police and paramedics were called to Adams Road in Tottenham, near Lordship Recreation Ground.

Police later confirmed that the victim is in a critical condition in hospital.

A Met spokesman said: “Police were called to Adams Road, N17, at 14.17hrs on Sunday, 1 August to reports of a stabbing.

“Officers attended along with paramedics from London Ambulance Service (LAS) and London’s Air Ambulance.

“A 16-year-old boy was found with stab injuries.

The stabbing happened at Lordship Recreation Ground

“He was treated at the scene before being taken to hospital.”

No arrests have been made in connection with the stabbing.

Former Tory Parliamentary candidate Ben Obese-Jecty posted on Twitter: “Yet another tragic stabbing in Tottenham today.

“2pm on a Sunday afternoon in Lordship Rec, a busy park. The victim left in a critical condition.

“The lawlessness in Tottenham is fast making some areas a dangerous no-go zone. The blight on young lives is utterly heartbreaking.”
