Brixton stabbing: Live updates as man, 25, rushed to hospital after being attacked outside Tesco

A 25-year-old man has been rushed to hospital after he was repeatedly stabbed outside a Tesco in Brixton.

He was attacked on New Park Road, Brixton Hill, at around 1.40pm.

The victim was taken to hospital where his condition was assessed as being non-life threatening.

A Metropolitan Police spokesperson said: “Police were called at approximately 13:41hrs to New Park Road to reports of a stabbing.

“Officers attended and found a male, believed to be 25, with multiple stab wounds.

“He has been taken to hospital where his injuries are not believed to be life-threatening.

“No arrests have been made and enquiries are ongoing.

“Anyone witnesses or anyone with information is asked to call police on 101 quoting CAD 3436 or anonymously to Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.”

London Ambulance Service has been contacted for comment.

It’s been a violent few days for South London, after stuntman Shane Jerome was stabbed to death close to Brixton Underground Station last Wednesday (July 21).
