London floods: Live updates as torrential downpour floods DLR stop, closes Tube stations and turns streets into rivers

Several areas of London have been hit by heavy flooding after a deluge of rain.

The water has risen across areas like Camberwell and Walthamstow, with some eyewitnesses reporting that shoppers are stranded in the former.

A shopper in Camberwell has urged drivers to take care in the area.

They said: “Camberwell is absolutely flooded, drive careful and don’t even bother walking, you’ll get splashed by default lol.”

Meanwhile, footage from Walthamstow shows streets submerged and cars pushing through flood waters.

It is the second time in less than a month that parts of London have been affected by flooding.

On July 13, several areas of West and South London were swarmed by flash floods which ruined houses and destroyed businesses.
