United players give Solskjaer easy decisions to make after QPR defeat
It’s not often that the football feels like a sideshow, but after a defining 24 hours for Manchester United, a low-key friendly in West London against Championship opposition was never going to reveal many truths to us, other than those we already knew.
The 24 hours or so that preceded United’s trip to the Kiyan Prince Foundation Stadium will have a more decisive impact on this season than the 90 minutes against Queens Park Rangers, however embarrassing it felt on Saturday afternoon.
It’s doubtful that Jadon Sancho interrupted his holiday to tune in to a friendly that featured maybe only two players he will line up alongside against Leeds in three weeks’ time. If he did he’d have switched by the hour mark, but it was the 21-year-old’s name that was the talk of the 2,000 or so United fans who made the trip to the capital.
