London crime: Police urge locals to call 999 after man vanishes from London and may be 200 miles away

Police are urgently looking for a missing man who is believed to have vanished from London and be more than 200 miles from his home.

Chukwunyere Agu, 40, was last seen in London on July 4 but is now believed to be in the Liverpool City Centre area.

Today Merseyside Police launched an appeal to find Chukwunyere Agu and are urging people to call 999 if they see him.

A spokesperson said: “Please share and help us find missing man Chukwunyere Agu.

“40-year-old Chukwunyere was last seen in London on Sunday 4 July but may be in the Liverpool City Centre area.”

He is described by Merseyside police as Black African, 6ft tall, medium build, with short black hair, and speaks with a London accent.

Chukwunyere was wearing a brown hoody, army green jogging bottoms, white trainers and a grey rucksack.

Police have said he has links to the St John’s Gardens and Bold Street areas of Liverpool city centre.

If you see Chukwunyere, police say please call 999 or pass information via their form .
