Tammy Abraham to Arsenal transfer: Chelsea’s value, Erling Haaland swap, loan deal wanted

For Arsenal, the next few weeks could go a long way in defining Mikel Arteta’s tenure at the Emirates Stadium.

Arteta came under pressure last season as he failed to deliver European football on the red side of north London, but this summer is a chance to regroup for the Gunners.

football.london understands that Arsenal are eyeing further deals as they look to complete an overhaul of their squad ahead of the upcoming campaign that gets underway in mid-August.

Nuno Tavares and Albert Sambi Lokonga have already been signed by the Gunners, but transfer guru Edu is not done there.

Arsenal are said to be interested in signing a new striker due to the situation with Alexandre Lacazette and Eddie Nketiah, who both have less than 12 months remaining on their existing contracts.

Chelsea centre-forward Tammy Abraham is believed to be of interest to Arsenal, with plenty being said about the England international in recent days.

With that being said, football.london has rounded up everything that is being reported on Abraham possibly making the switch up the capital.

Arsenal interest in Abraham

The Telegraph reported on July 15 that Arsenal are interested in signing Abraham, who has been offered to numerous clubs by Chelsea.

The report says that Abraham has been offered to Inter Milan and Tottenham Hotspur as well, with the Blues eyeing Romelu Lukaku and Harry Kane as well.

A report from The Athletic on July 22 backed the Gunners’ interest up, saying the England striker is “admired by several influential voices within the club, including manager Mikel Arteta”.

The same article says that Chelsea would prefer to move Abraham on permanently this summer, while Arsenal would favour a loan move for the striker.

Chelsea’s Abraham value

According to the Telegraph, Chelsea want £40million for Abraham’s services this summer.

If the Blues can generate that figure, then this will definitely help them in their ongoing pursuit of Borussia Dortmund star Erling Haaland – who is likely to cost north of £100million this summer.

£40million is a big fee for Abraham, who has featured just seven times under Thomas Tuchel since his appointment in January.

Haaland swap deal

Chelsea are preparing a ‘monster bid’ for Haaland that includes Abraham in a player-plus-cash deal, according to the Mirror.

However, Dortmund – who are desperate to keep hold of their star striker following Jadon Sancho’s recent departure – see Abraham’s £40million asking price as excessive given the lack of football he played in the second half of the 2020/21 season.

Abraham wants West Ham move

According to the same report from the Mirror, Abraham is well aware of interest from West Ham United and is keen on a move to the London Stadium.

Aston Villa have also been credited with an interest for the 23-year-old following his year on loan at Villa Park in the 2018/19 season, but the England international reportedly wants the move to the Hammers.

David Moyes wants to bring a new striker to the Irons and Abraham could be seen as the perfect option.
