Ambulance tips over colliding with car on North Circular

An ambulance tipped over colliding with a car in Brent.

Two paramedics managed to escape unscathed after the emergency vehicle they were in tipped on its side.

The crash happened at just after 3.20pm on Tuesday (July 20) on the North Circular at Harrow Road.

Images from the scene show the ambulance on its side with half a dozen Metropolitan Police officers at the rear door.

Two paramedics were inside and both escaped the vehicle without needing treatment.

The ambulance collided with a white car

Fortunately the occupants of the white car involved did not require treatment either, a police spokesperson said.

At around 6pm, after the welfare of those involved in the crash was checked, the vehicles were removed and traffic was allowed to continue.

A spokesperson for the Met said: “Police were called to a road traffic collision on the A406 at Harrow Road at 3.24pm on Tuesday, 20 July.

“The collision involved a car and an ambulance. The ambulance had overturned.

“The paramedics were able to exit their vehicle and then checked on the welfare of the occupants of the car who did not require further treatment.

“The vehicles were removed and all roads were reopened shortly after 6pm.”
