A 19-year-old woman has been rushed to hospital with “slash wounds” after an attack in broad daylight in South London.
The Metropolitan Police were called at about 5.30pm today (Wednesday, July 21) to Bexley High Street after receiving reports of a stabbing.
Officers, who were called by the London Ambulance Service (LAS), arrived at the scene to find the injured teenager.

An air ambulance was called but thankfully the woman’s injuries are not believed to be life-threatening.
Police have said enquiries are ongoing and at this stage no arrests have been made.

A statement from the Metropolitan Police said: “Police were called by the London Ambulance Service (LAS) at approximately 5.28pm to Bexley High Street to reports of a stabbing.
“Officers attended the scene and found a 19-year-old female with slash wounds.
“At this stage, her injuries are not believed to be life threatening.
“Enquiries are ongoing and no arrests have been made.”
