Several injured in south London ambulance crash

Four people including two children were hospitalised in a crash involving a London Ambulance Service (LAS) vehicle in Croydon on Saturday (July 17).

The crash happened near the junction of Lower Addiscombe Road and Morland Road on Saturday, July 17, around 3pm.

Responding to a request from the Croydon Guardian, a spokesperson for the Met Police who attended confirmed that an LAS vehicle was involved.

They provided the following statement:

“Police were called shortly after 15:00hrs on Saturday, 17 July to reports of a collision involving a London Ambulance Service [LAS] response car and another car near the junction of Lower Addiscombe Road and Morland Road, Croydon.

“Two adults and two children were taken to hospital and their condition is not life-threatening.

“The passengers in the LAS vehicle sustained slight injuries.”

Both the LAS vehicle and the other car stopped at the scene and police said they made no arrests.

LAS were contacted for comment.
