Roads were very busy on coastal routes, and the popular south and east coast beaches near London were no exception.
Pictures from the popular spots saw revellers packing on to the sands and pebbles to spend their Sunday sizzling in the Sun.
Some concerns over Covid were expressed with large crowds gathering on beaches as Covid cases reach new highs for the first time in months.
