Following Jack Grealish’s performances for England at the recently finished Euro 2020, the thought of him at the Emirates Stadium is one that massively excites Arsenal supporters.
The 25-year-old still has four years remaining on his existing deal at Villa Park, but the club captain has been tipped to leave in the coming weeks after catching the nation’s heart with his scintillating displays at the Euros.
Manchester City have been credited with an interest, with Pep Guardiola thought to be a huge admirer of Grealish. Tottenham and Manchester United have both been keen in the past, but not so much so this summer.

Now, according to The Athletic, the Gunners “admire” the Villa skipper, but a move to the Emirates Stadium is unlikely.
Mikel Arteta’s men simply cannot offer Grealish the same sort of money as City can, and on top of that, Arsenal are unable to give the England international any sort of European football next season.
Man City looks like the only realistic option for Grealish this summer, the report claims, with the Premier League champions reportedly willing to pay £100million for his services.
However, as it stands, Villa are planning for life with Grealish at the club at the start of next season, but if such an offer came in for their captain, it might be one they “reluctantly consider”.
Arteta is determined to bring a creative midfielder to the north London club this summer after seeing what Martin Odegaard did in his short stint with Arsenal.
Odegaard, who has since returned to Real Madrid following his loan spell, impressed for the Gunners alongside Emile Smith Rowe, who also brought a creative spark back to the Emirates.
Arsenal legend Emmanuel Petit recently urged his old club to go out and sign their own version of Grealish.
“When you look at young players like Mason Mount and Jack Grealish, they’re fantastic because, apart from their quality, they show character and desire,” Petit told Metro.
“They want to prove they are one of the best players in their position.”
Arsenal have been busy so far in the transfer window, with Nuno Tavares the only confirmed signing at the time of writing. But deals for Ben White and Albert Sambi Lokonga are edging closer, football.london understands.
The Gunners are also chasing a central midfielder with Granit Xhaka expected to leave, and likewise a right-back with Hector Bellerin looking for an exit.
