Woman ‘in her 30s’ found dead as police cordon off London park

A woman’s body has been found in a west London park, police said today.

Southall Park in Ealing is cordoned off this morning after the body was discovered shortly before 6am.

It is not yet known how the woman, believed to be in her 30s, died.

A crime scene is in place as investigators work to determine the circumstances.

Police said they are working to trace the woman’s next of kin.

A Met Police spokeswoman said: “At 05:56hrs on Saturday 17 July police were called to Southall Park, Green Drive to reports of an unresponsive woman.

“Police and London Ambulance Service attended and the woman, believed to be in her 30s, was pronounced dead at the scene.

“Steps are being taken to inform her next of kin.

“A crime scene is in place and enquiries are ongoing to establish the circumstances.”
