NHS doctor who ‘went out for first time in a long time’ has bike stolen 20 minutes after locking it

An NHS doctor has released a desperate plea after his first trip out ‘in a long time’ ended in misery as his bike was reportedly stolen.

Professor Deiary Kader went on a rare outing in Kingston and locked his bike up, but within 20 minutes it was stolen.

In a tweet posted by the doctor a video appears to show the suspect outside of Middle Eastern restaurant, Lebanese Valley on Fife Road on June 26 before the bike was taken.

The knee surgeon posted a shocking video that appears to show a young man breaking the bike lock before unchaining it and wheeling the bicycle away in broad daylight at 5pm.

Appealing for help on Twitter, Professor Kader posted a series of videos of the alleged theft with the caption: “Can anyone help? I have full footage of him stealing my bike.

“I am a doctor working for the NHS. Went out for the first time in a long time. Left my boke locked for 20 minutes. This guy stole my bike in front of Lebanese Valler, Fife Road in Kingston 5pm on Saturday 26/6.”

Social media users flooded his post with comments offering support with others even offering a bike.

One user said: “If you need a new bike mate I will offer you mine.

“I don’t use it and it does run well still.”

While another said: “He does not look as though he is poor. Wonder why he had to stoop so low as to steal.

Another added: “Good picture, let’s hope you find him, he doesn’t look like the type to do that.“
