Two people have been rushed to hospital after being freed from their cars following a crash outside an Essex pub.
Emergency services were called to London Road, Wickford, by the junctions of Castledon Road and Belmont Avenue, outside the Downham Arms pub following reports of a crash.
Upon arrival at around 2.27pm yesterday afternoon (July 14), emergency services found that three people were trapped in their vehicles following the crash.

Fire crews from Wickford and Basildon used specialist cutting equipment to free one casualty from a vehicle and helped free two others.
Once freed, paramedics tended to five patients, with two taken to Basildon and Thurrock Hospital for further assessment and care.
The road was closed by Essex Police for quite some time in order for emergency services to deal with the incident.
An Essex County Fire and Rescue spokesperson said: “Firefighters were called to assist at the scene of a road traffic collision involving two vehicles in Wickford.

“Crews from Wickford and Basildon attended the incident in London Road today (July 14) at 2.27pm.
“Working with paramedics, they helped three people out of the vehicles by 3.01pm, including using specialist cutting equipment to free one casualty. They were left in the care of the Ambulance Service.”
A spokesperson at the East of England Ambulance Service added: “We were called to the junction of London Road and Castledon Road at around 2.10pm today (July 14), following reports of a collision.
“Crews treated five patients at the scene and transported two to Basildon and Thurrock Hospital for further assessment and care.”
