Paul Onuachu will surely pick Arsenal over West Ham, time for David Moyes to reassess – opinion

West Ham could miss out on Paul Onuachu to Arsenal with the north London outfit allegedly keen to move Eddie Nketiah on to Watford this summer.

That’s according to The Athletic.

The Hammers have been linked with a move to sign Genk hitman Onuachu for the past month or so (All Nigeria Soccer and Own Goal Nigeria).

Arsenal are also keen on the 27-year-old, however, according to The Athletic.

The Gunners are allegedly trying to move on Eddie Nketiah this summer with Watford thought to be keen on the young striker’s services (The Athletic).

Onuachu allegedly dreams of joining Arsenal (Voetbal Nieuws).

So West Ham clearly have a big problem on their hands.

If Nketiah does leave the Emirates this summer it would be no surprise to see Mikel Arteta go all out for the prolific Nigeria international.

Paul Onuachu battle between West Ham and Arsenal set to unfold

If the Gunners are really in for the Nigerian, our chances of signing him will be slim.

The Hammers do have European football on offer of course, but with the 27-year-old keen to join Arsenal and the north London outfit already showing real ambition this summer, hopes are fading fast of Moyes bringing Onuachu to the London Stadium.

It might just be best for the Scot to reassess his options.

West Ham have history of going up rabbit holes with potential new signings. If there is even the slightest hint that the Genk ace would prefer to join Arsenal this summer, we need to move on immediately. No more time wasting.

With 35 goals to his name last season, Onuachu has proven that he is a top class striker. There’s no point chasing a lost cause, however.

And in my opinion, that’s exactly what we could be doing with Arsenal in the hunt for the Nigerian’s signature.

Move on…quickly.
