A serious track and signalling upgrade of the railway into London Victoria station has begun this weekend, with work attributable to be carried out in the course of the weekends till the top of June.
The upgrades in south London largely focus on the road operating between East Croydon and Victoria, and run by means of Clapham Junction.
Improvement work at Gatwick Airport can be a part of the venture which received underway over the May Bank Holiday weekend.
Over all 5 weekends in May, and two Sundays in June, no Southern trains will run in or out of London Victoria, and most can be diverted to London Bridge as main signalling and track upgrades proceed on traces into London Victoria.
