Joe Biden to deliver keynote address at Coast Guard graduation

According to The Day newspaper, the president will deliver the keynote address at the U.S. Coast Guard Academy graduation in New London, Conn., on May 19

NEW LONDON, Conn. — President Joe Biden is scheduled to go to Connecticut later this month, the White House introduced Monday.

Biden will journey to New London, Conn., on Wednesday, May 19, in accordance to a launch from the White House. Details of the journey haven’t but been launched. 

The Day, a New London newspaper, reported Monday that the president will converse at the U.S. Coast Guard Academy graduation on May 19. He will deliver the keynote address, the Coast Guard Academy stated in a launch. 

Biden beforehand spoke at the academy’s graduation in 2013, when he was vice chairman.

In a launch, academy Superintendent Rear Adm. Bill Kelly stated they’re honored to host the president to have fun the Class of 2021. 

“It might be a memorable occasion for our group, in addition to a fantastic alternative to showcase the Academy and the town of New London on a nationwide stage,” Kelly stated.

The president, first girl, and different Biden administration officers are touring the nation as a part of the “Getting America Back on Track Tour,” which seeks to spotlight how Biden’s American Jobs Plan and American Families Plan will profit colleges, in accordance to the White House. 

On April 24, Vice President Kamala Harris visited New Hampshire to spotlight the American Jobs Plan.
