Investec programme offers £20K for ideas in Bromley-by-Bow

Business promoters wanting for social enterprises in east London wish to dish out as much as £20,000 a time for ideas to assist communities emerge from the pandemic.

Professionals from Investec banking companies are working an enterprise programme on the Bromley-by-Bow Centre, with grants and coaching for start-ups to assist ideas off the bottom. 

They have helped 50 ventures over the previous 10 years in Tower Hamlets and neighbouring Hackney and Newham to generate a mixed turnover of £6million.  

“We couldn’t be prouder,” Investec sustainability programme supervisor Razia Nizamuddin mentioned. “We have helped them go on to create 300 jobs.” 

One enterprise given a leg up was Supply Change, which reinvented how companies make offers on items and companies with a “social procurement” platform vetting suppliers at the click on of a button.
