Poplar stabbing: Teenager rushed to hospital after stabbing in broad daylight

A teenage boy has been rushed to hospital after being stabbed in East London

Thankfully his accidents usually are not thought to be life threatening.

He was attacked on East India Dock Road close to the junction with Hale Street shortly earlier than 3.30pm on Monday, April 26.

So far no arrests have been made and a criminal offense scene stays in place.

In response to the incident a Section 60 has been ordered which ramps up the Met Police’s cease and search powers.

This will run from 4.30pm on Monday till 7.30am on Tuesday April 27.

This is considered one of three stabbings in East London of youngsters in the house of an hour with one being deadly.

An 18-year-old was killed in Newham on Monday afternoon and a boy was stabbed in Chadwell Heath.

A spokesperson for the Met Police informed MyLondon: “Police had been known as at roughly 3.25pm on Monday April 26 to reviews of a stabbing in East India Dock Road, close to the junction with Hale Street, E14.

“Officers and London Ambulance Service attended and located a male – believed aged 17 – struggling a stab damage. He has been taken to hospital for remedy; his situation is just not thought to be life threatening.

“No arrests; enquiries into the circumstances proceed.

“Against the law scene stays in place.

“A bit 60 has been put in place for Tower Hamlets, south of the A11 – it can run from 16:30hrs on Monday, 26 April to 07:30hrs on Tuesday, 27 April.”
