Call The Midwife celebrates the begin of its tenth collection this Sunday (April 18) and fans can’t wait as the interval drama focuses on the 12 months 1966.
Following the new episodes, BBC bosses have already confirmed collection 11 will go forward and filming is predicted to kick off quickly.
But there’s much more good news.
The Call the Midwife staff has revealed that it will proceed into collection 12 and 13, masking the years 1968 and 1969.
This means the present is confirmed to run till at the least 2024.

Taking to Instagram on Tuesday (April 13) they introduced the present has been commissioned for an additional three years.
Beside a photograph of Nurse Trixie Franklin (Helen George), Nurse Lucille Anderson (Leonie Elliot), and Nurse Phyllis Crane (Linda Bassett) posing outdoors of Nonnatus House, the manufacturing staff shared an announcement.
It mentioned: “BREAKING NEWS!!! BBC announces that Call the Midwife is to proceed up until Series 13!!!
“We are THRILLED to announce that forward of our launch of collection 10 on Sunday, the BBC have simply formally confirmed our drama collection up till collection 13!!!
“This wonderful news comes as we have a good time ten years of our drama – and now implies that Call The Midwife will be on air till 2024!.”
Piers Wenger, director of BBC Drama, mentioned: “The enduring recognition of Call The Midwife is a testomony to the extraordinary love and creativity from its creator Heidi Thomas and its producers Pippa Harris and Ann Tricklebank.
“We are delighted to have secured the way forward for Call The Midwife, and stay up for having fun with extra adventures for the inhabitants of Nonnatus House for years to come back.”

Heidi Thomas, the present’s creator, author and govt Producer, mentioned it was an “unbelievable privilege” for the present to hit a decade, with its journey “removed from over”.
She added: “We are thrilled to be occurring for a number of extra years!
“Like Nonnatus House itself, we have now a proud previous however an much more thrilling future – filled with previous favourites, recent faces, increased hemlines, new concepts. The tales we inform are like infants – they by no means cease coming, we love all of them, and we vow to do our greatest by each single one.”
Pippa Harris, the present’s govt producer, commented: “We are all delighted by this vote of confidence from the BBC, and are trying ahead to delivering extra laughter, tears, and infants for our loyal fans.
