A neighbour has paid tribute to a “beautiful” 76-year-old girl described as having “an amazing singing voice” who has died in her ground-floor flat in Newham.
The victim has been named locally as Phyllis Nelson and was mentioned to be a “very nice” neighbour.
A murder investigation was launched after police had been known as to the property on Kent Street, E13, and the victim was pronounced lifeless on the scene.
