Mitcham stabbing: Live updates as 2 men stabbed on Edenvale Road

Two men are in hospital following a double stabbing in Mitcham, South London.

The Met Police confirmed they had been referred to as to experiences of a disturbance on Edenvale Road, in Mitcham, Merton, at round 4.47pm this afternoon (March 21).

Police officers who attended the scene alongside London (*2*) Service (LAS) discovered a person who had been stabbed within the chest.

The man, whose age just isn’t but recognized, was taken to a South London hospital and police are awaiting an replace on his situation.

A second man subsequently self-presented at hospital with a stab damage.

His situation has been assessed as non-life threatening.

Police confirmed six men have been arrested and brought into custody.

Against the law scene stays in place as police proceed their enquiries.

{A photograph} shared on social media at 7.24pm confirmed a police cordon across the junction between St Barnabas Road and Edenvale Road.
