Man aged 18 from south-east London arrested for spreading terrorist material – South London News

An adolescent has been held for sharing terrorist material.

On the morning of Wednesday, 24 February, officers from the Met’s (*18*) Terrorism Command arrested an 18-year-old man at a residential handle in south east London.

The man was arrested on suspicion of dissemination of terrorist publications, opposite to Section 2 of the Terrorism Act 2006. The arrest was made below the Police and Criminal Evidence Act (PACE).

He was taken to a South London police station the place he stays presently.

While in custody the person was subsequently detained below Section 41 of the Terrorism Act 2000.

Searches of the handle are ongoing.
