Foxtons confirms talks to buy rival Douglas & Gordon

London-listed property agent Foxtons has confirmed it’s in talks to purchase West London-based agent Douglas & Gordon. 

In an announcement, Foxtons stated the discussions “replicate the corporate’s said ambition to accumulate prime quality companies with sturdy lettings books.”

Douglas and Gordon, which is run by former Foxtons government James Evans, has 17 branches in London.

It comes after a report by Sky Information which revealed Foxtons is in unique negotiations to accumulate the chain for round £15m.
